In this post, I’d like to tell you about the most important part of my life; my family. I love them to pieces, but once in a while they’re the ones that can drive me on the road of insanity. The best fights happen between siblings, or so I’ve heard, and though I’m not the biggest fighter in town, the fact that brothers and sisters easily can pick a fight with each other is not something I’m here to protest upon.
Because my mother doesn’t want me to post pictures of her, I won’t. And right now, I don’t have my computer here, and dad’s laptop is practically empty oO, So I’ll see what I can come up with when I’m back in the city after work tomorrow. Those of you who have seen my brothers knows that they’ve got quite a lot of charm. I think, anyways. Aleksander is 16, and Daniel is 12. I also have an older sister, Anna Linn, who is 26. She’s attending the business school that lies in Bergen, Aleksander is starting his second year at high school in the fall, and Daniel will be in the oldest class in primary school by the same time.
My grandparents, I have four of them still, are the ones that have held me up at the times when my parents where separating. Even though they might not know it, I don’t think I’d be the same without them. They protected my siblings and me when my mum was at her angriest, and when home was less of a home than ever, we stayed at her parents until we could come home again.
Even to this day, they’re people I cannot imagine living without. They’ve got tons of love for us, humour when times are tough, things to teach us and make us believe in, weird words to teach us the meaning of, care and wit.
My parents are a chapter for themselves. Even though there was a time when I was younger when they had serious problems being in the same room as each other, they’ve moved pass that – and now there’s no trouble in them sleeping in the same house. This is something few of us had believed, and though they’re not together again as before (something I highly doubt would be possible, but very much worth fighting for nonetheless), they can lead a serious conversation with each other without ending it angry. Both me and my brothers and sister is very happy with this fact, and I think we all can agree on that it’s better to keep it this way, than if they try something more – and end up leaving their relationship in bits and pieces like before.
This was my little tale of truth – the most basic part of my life. And now I leave you with an amazing song I discovered through Stephenie Meyer’s New Moon playlist, it’s called Empty Room by Marjorie Fair, and I really hope you like it. x
